Frogs are found in many koi hobbyist ponds. The frog depicted in the bronze is considered a leopard frog. However, the leopard frog patterns were not introduced.
Everyone love the greenish patina used on this bronze. The throat area has a whitish patina, which gives one the notion that the skin a round the throat area is being stretched out as the frog fills his throat with air.
The bronze depicts a frog resting on two lily pads as he croaks.
The size of this bronze sculpture makes it a wonderful desktop or coffee table presentation, great for any office or home.
This sculpture was cast at Andevan Bronzeworks located in Burbank, California. The bronze foundry uses the finest pure bronze available. The foundries talented team of artisans is very consistent in the quality of bronzes they produce.
The foundry’s patina artist applied the patina under high heat so that it has permanently fused into the bronze itself. This is a high quality and classic work of fine art that will continue to be treasured for centuries.
The sculpture is free standing at 3" high, by 9.75" in length; 5.5” wide. It is an open edition bronze and signed by me.
