Welcome to BronzeStatues.info
My name is Caesar Yanez, sculptor since the late 70's.
My passion and focus is on creating breathtaking, impressive; stunning fine art bronzes. My fine art bronze statues depict many themes and are embellished by attention to detail. For example, my bronze dog statues are sculpted to the AKC "American Kennel Club" dog standards. In order to ensure the bronze statues are precise I meet with the show dog breeders and dog show judges for their expert opinions and interpretation of the breed’s standard. I enjoy sculpting scenes of the breed in a historic theme; for instance, bull-baiting "English Bulldog, French Bulldog, Bull Terrier" and lion hunts with the Rhodesian Ridgebacks.
Countless hours are devoted into each wax or clay original sculpture before a mold is created for the fine art bonze castings. Fine detail is my sculpting hallmark for my bronze statues/sculptures. Many collectors purchase and treasure my fine art for the exquisite attention to detail, realism and historical accuracy.
Commissioned bronze statues are a thrill for both sculptor and client; together through great communication we creatre a magnificent work of art.
My clients are kept in constant communication via emails. I walk them through every step of the bronze process. I sculpt the works closely with the clients to produce works of art for their specific needs and interests. Works in progress are viewed by the client via email or postings on my sister website(s) dog sculptures, koi artist, nishikigoi; bronze dog sculptures. (clients view every step of the process from "concept to completion").
A few of my past sculptures that were originally produced in resin will now be cast in bronze. These bronze statues will be offered in a limited edition. Some of the breeds to be reproduced are, English Bulldog, French Bulldog; Irish wolfhound.
This site will exclusively feature bronze sculptures. I no longer produce resing statues. They were phased out in 2005.

Bronze Koi/Nishikigoi Sculpture
If you have an interest in a breed, please email handsofcaesar@gmail.com with your request. If there is enough interested parties, I will consider the task of sculpting the breed. I am sure I will enjoy the challenge of producing a bronze sculpture that will delight collectors for years.
The Bronze process has been with us for thousands of years. The Greeks are credited for being the first to create life-size bronze figures. Other civilizations such as the Romans, Chinese and Egyptians also casted bronzeworks of art. Bronze continues to be highly valued.
Bronze as a cast metal medium for sculptures is extremely admired. Bronze alloys have uncommon and very advantageous properties of increasing slightly just before they solidify; hence, capturing the smallest details from the mold.
The strength of the material is a benefit when action sculptures or massive sculptures are produced.
The fabrication of bronze statues is an extremely skillful and labor intensive job. Several casting procedures may be used for casting bronze: lost-wax casting (ceramic shell casting), sand casting; centrifugal casting.

Footballs Legend Brett Favre

Thor - Norse Thunder God - Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of...
The Thor bronze sculpture was inspired by my middle son, Sean. I guess he grew tired of seeing my other sculptures; asked, " Why don't you sculpt a supper hero". I did not give him a response for a week.
I came across super hero models and noticed that the Thor models still depicted Thor as a comic book figure. I thought it would be nice to give Thor lifelike features.
Hence, this is my interpretation of Thor the God of Thunder. I hope you viewers enjoy it.
History on Thor:
Thor (Old Norse: Þórr) is the red-haired and bearded god of thunder in Germanic paganism and its subset Norse paganism. The god is also recorded in Old English as Þunor, Old Saxon as Thunaer, as Old Dutch and Old High German: Donar, all of which are names deriving from the reconstructed Proto-Germanic name *Þunraz.
Most surviving stories relating to Germanic paganism either mention Thor or centre on Thor's exploits. Thor was a much revered god of the ancient Germanic peoples from at least the earliest surviving written accounts of the indigenous Germanic tribes to over a thousand years later during the last bastions of Germanic paganism in the late Viking Age.
Thor was appealed to for protection on numerous objects found from various Germanic tribes and Miniature replicas of Mjolnir, the weapon of Thor, became a defiant symbol of Norse paganism during the Christianization of Scandinavia.
During and after the process of Christianization was complete, Thor was demonized by the growing influence of Christian missionaries. After Christian influence was cemented in law, traces of belief went increasingly underground into mainly rural areas, surviving until modern times into Germanic folklore and most recently reconstructed to varying degrees in Germanic Neopaganism.

Bronze Mountain Gorilla "Silverback"
Gorillas are the largest of the living primates. They are ground-dwelling herbivores that inhabit the forests of Africa. Gorillas are divided into two species and (still under debate as of 2008) either four or five subspecies. The DNA of gorillas is 98%–99% identical to that of a human, and they are the next closest living relatives to humans after the two chimpanzee species.
Gorillas live in tropical or subtropical forests. Although their range covers a small percentage of Africa, gorillas cover a wide range of elevations. The Mountain Gorilla inhabits the Albertine Rift montane cloud forests of the Virunga Volcanoes, ranging in altitude from 2225 to 4267 m (7300-14000 ft). Lowland Gorillas live in dense forests and lowland swamps and marshes as low as sea level.
Gorillas move around by knuckle-walking. Adult males range in height from 165-175 cm (5 ft 5 in – 5 ft 9 in), and in weight from 140–204.5 kg (310–450 lb). Adult females are often half the size of a silverback, averaging about 140 cm (4 ft 7 in) tall and 100 kg (220 lb). Occasionally, a silverback of over 183 cm (6 ft) and 225 kg (500 lb) has been recorded in the wild. However, obese gorillas in captivity have reached a weight of 270 kg (600 lb). Gorillas have a facial structure which is described as mandibular prognathism, that is, their mandible protrudes farther out than the maxilla.
The Eastern Gorilla is more darkly colored than the Western Gorilla, with the Mountain Gorilla being the darkest of all. The Mountain Gorilla also has the thickest hair. The Western Lowland Gorilla can be brown or grayish with a reddish forehead. In addition, gorillas that live in lowland forests are more slender and agile than the more bulky Mountain Gorilla.
Almost all gorillas share the same blood type (B) and, like humans, have individual finger prints.

Oil on Canvas Painting (20"x30")

Concept for the Rhodesian Ridgeback and Lion bronze statue will be taken from theoil-on-canvas (left). The image on the right depicts the Rhodesian Ridgeback in its show pose. Once the clay sculpture is approved, I will begin on the action poses, similar to what is depicted on the painting.
